Terry Kwan, an educator with unique skills in curricular and facilities design, has worked on public school building projects in Massachusetts for more than thirty years, both professionally and as an elected official.
As a school administrator from 1973-1982 and then as an elected member of the Brookline School Committee from 1985-2003, Ms. Kwan participated in many construction decisions for the Brookline Schools. She taught middle school before becoming a science supervisor and teacher trainer and has consulted with a number of school communities on the design and construction of science facilities. Ms. Kwan is co-author and contributor to several books and articles for teachers and administrators. She serves as a community representative to Institutional Biosafety Committees for the Harvard Medical School and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Ms. Kwan holds a BA from SUNY Binghamton and an MSEd from Hofstra University.
