The Massachusetts School Building Authority will be hosting a series of meetings, for contractors who are currently working on or who wish to work on MSBA-funded projects. The agendas for subsequent bi-monthly discussions will be developed based on input from the participants with the intent being to discuss common issues affecting school projects.

The Contractor Roundtable featured a discussion on the feasibility, design, and construction of geothermal wells. Representatives from four projects will share their experiences. For three projects, geothermal wells have been installed with varying durations of operation.
For the fourth project, site conditions made geothermal wells unviable. The presentation included representatives from the Contractors and Owner’s Project Managers and reviewed lessons learned from different phases of the projects.

Attending a Contractor Roundtable
Interested parties are invited to attend. As seating is limited, we ask that you respond to Patrick DeAngelo no later than one week prior to the roundtable. Due to space constraints, we must limit attendance to two persons per firm or organization.
