Update to the MSBA’s Model School Program
 
The MSBA issued a Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) dated December 16, 2015, requesting project designs for consideration to be included in the Model School Program.  Staff completed its review of the Model School Program applications submitted by Designers in response to the RFQ. A PowerPoint of the information and analysis, resulting from the responses to the RFQ was presented at the Facilities Assessment Subcommittee meeting on June 15, 2016. The MSBA Board of Directors approved an updated list of 12 project designs for the MSBA’s Model School Program on July 20, 2016.

Additional updates to the Model School Program have been presented in 2016 as follows:

  • January 27, 2016 Board Meeting- Removal of the five incentive points from the Program for all districts receiving an invitation into Eligibility Period January 1, 2016 or later. Additional information can be found in the Discussion on Model School Program from the MSBA’s Board of Director’s meeting on March 16, 2016.
  • September 28, 2016 Board Meeting- Updated the administration procedures for the Program. This streamlines the process.
